My New Love...

OK..So I know I haven't written a blog in a month, but I really haven't had the time. But I found something that I have to blog about, and I will continue to do so until the show is over. I am completely in love with America's Got Talent! It's so great..it's not just a singing competition, they have acts of all different kinds with people of all different ages and races. Tonight was the first live night since 2 weeks ago (thanks to the Olympics- Which I fell in love with this year), right now there are 40 acts. Every night 10 acts will preform and then America votes, out of those 10 only 5 will continue on. This goes on until they get down to 20 acts left.
Tonight was the first ten. There were definitely some characters in this group. One of the most strange was a Brittany Spears impersonator. (who is a man) The worst part is, this guy looks like a woman, and is the spitting image of Brittany..it I'm lying, I'm dying...you have to watch this guy preform. It's amazing! But i would never vote for him. Sorry Britt...One of you is more than enough. My absolute favorite tonight was an insurance salesmen from New York City. I have loved this guy from the beginning. The moment you see this guy, you will absolutely fall in love! His name is Neal Boyd. He's probably in his thirties..maybe weighs 300 plus. He looks like he's in the mob..ha ha! But he is just a big teddy bear. He sings in an opera style. He will blow you away!! it is unbelievable...one of the best singers I have ever heard! You have to watch him!
Tomorrow 5 people get voted off and the next group of ten will preform. I post updates on who makes it through( and what I think of them), and who doesn't. Tomorrow night will be an awesome group of ten...a singing soldier who sounds like Edwin McCain, a 40ish black woman who sings like Dianna Ross..and an 22 year old Elvis impersonator who will blow you away. The Elvis impersonator is without a doubt my absolute favorite!

Family Beach Week 2008

We had a great week at the Beach this year. Me, mom and Tim got up early on Saturday and drove down to North Myrtle. Dad had to work on Saturday, so he was going to drive down that night. We met up with Katie and Eric to eat at Margaritaville. Which was AMAZING!

After we ate, we went to check in to our villa and then headed out for an afternoon on the beach. That night we went California Ultimate Pizza to eat. Katie and I managed to stay awake until dad got to the beach around 12:30 in the morning. On Sunday we all just laid around and hung out on the beach and sat around the pool. That night we went to Bimini's to eat. It's a little hole in the wall, but it is Great!!

On Monday, Eric's mom and brother came down to visit. Tim and I stayed inside most of the day (we were both got burned). That night we ate at home with the whole family.

On Tuesday, we went to the pool and went out to dinner at Damon's. Then we went to Broadway at the Beach to watch the fireworks. They were great! But it was super crowded!

Dad left on Wednesday Night, So we just hung around with him most of the day. After he left, we drove to Myrtle Beach so Tim and Eric could ride the Slingshot. I will add a video soon..Its so funny!

On Thursday Tim and I decided to go parasailing. We had so much fun! Then we went to the pool and swam the whole day. Then that night we went to Sara J's to eat! Sara J's is my favorite place to eat! But, we had to wait over an hour (apparently Sara J's is everyone else's favorite place to eat too).

On Friday we packed and laid around the villa all day and went to River City to eat. By the time we got back to the Villa it had started to rain. So we packed the car super fast and went to bed. We got up at six in the morning on Saturday :( We made it back it great time! I love the beach, but it is great to be back home!

The Final Rose

So...The Bachelorette Final Rose was tonight!
DeAnna picked Jesse! I loved him! he was my favorite and I really thought that she would pick him. Jason wanted her to become part of her family, but I think DeAnna was looking to start her own family and that's why she picked Jesse.
Anyways..that's all I have to blog on today :)
I'm off work tomorrow, So maybe something exciting will happen and I will have more to say tomorrow night.

4th of July Weekend!

This weekend was fantastic! The most fun I have had in a long time. On Friday, me and Tim went to the Drive game and it was so good! Even though the Drive lost, it was still a lot of fun. Then we went to eat and wlked around downtown greenville, with all the other 20 million people. Then we went back to the Drive Stadium and watched the fireworks.
Then Saturday we went down to Lake Greenwood with some of our neighbors and some of the people I work with. This was my first time out on a lake. We got in a raft and got pulled around by the jet ski at like 45 mph. Of course, I fell off. I felt like I had been in a car wreck. My neck and my back hurt. PLUS!! I almost lost my bottoms. Im glad I saved them as soon as I hit the water. We swam and hung out on the boat all day! It was amazing.
The only bad thing that happened this weekend was on friday night. As you can tell from my last post, I am accident prone. I was never like this in my whole life. But like a month ago, I started getting hurt all the time. So, friday I twisted my ankle and bruised my foot up something terriable. Then I shut Tim's extremely heavy truck door on my thumb and I broke it. It looks better today but it hurts something aweful. It especially started hurting bad when I feel out of the raft.
But other then that, this weekend was fabulous. Only a few more days til the beach!

Bad Day...

I sprained my wrist today. I've been having problems with my right hand since the start of summer. I think it's from scooping ice cream (seriously). Anyway, I was wrestling tonight (again, seriously) and I landed on my right hand wrong. I felt something pull, and now it hurts extremely bad. This wouldn't be so bad, except my entire job depends on me using my right hand.

My Friend

So Kelly has "Wordless Wednesdays", but I'm going to do her one better. I'm going to have Silent Saturdays.
But I feel as though these pictures need an explanation.
Every other week I clean my grandparent's house. And lately I have made a new friend. A male squirrel and I call him Mr. Squiggles. He sits on the window ledge and eats the food out of the bird feeder. He also lets you open the window (under a very watchful eye) and sit sunflower seeds on the window and he will come and eat them. Very cute!
So today I decided I had to take some pictures of him. All I had was my phone, so they are not the best pictures in the world. But you get the point. He likes to pose I think, so he must be gay as a picnic basket.

Last Night of VBS!

Today was a good day..and a not so good day.
Apparently I broke my car. Something to do with the transmission (my bad). Which means I won't have a car for a couple of days. Which is fine, I have no life, I go no where. But, I do need it saturday, I have to work and babysit the Hudson girls. But no one seems to understand this. ugg... Tonight was the last night of VBS! but i still have to sing those songs everyday because we have to preform them infront of the church. I have to stand infront of the kids...so yes, everyone will be looking at my butt :(
We won our softball game! We play tomorrow night at 7:30 and then if we win, we wil play in the championship next week. I stood in right field, and did absolutly nothing..actually thats a lie, I was singing VBS songs and doing the dance moves.
We are doing my dad's fathers day tomorrow night (well, i guess tynically it's tonight). and guess who still hasn't managed to get a gift...ME!! Im horriable, i know.
It's short, i know. But, I have to take another exam in the morning.

I <3 VBS!!

After many complaints from Kelly, i am writing a new blog. So.. a lot has happened since this past Easter. I managed to pass every class and make the Dean's List. YAY!! Getting the Life Scholarship back! I started working at Dillard's ICP again :( This I am not thrilled about, I think it's time for me to find a new job. I started my online American Government Class. So far it has been a piece of cake. I'm starting to realize that this class is going to be more of a "do the work and get an A class" as opposed to the normal class work setting. But, all that is past stuff. Moving on to the more recent. This week is VBS! the best and worst week of the year, haha just kidding! I am helping with music class. And if Kelly wasn't there I might kill myself. I wake up singing these songs! I can't get them out of my head! especially the Outrigger Island song. The reason I am constantly singing them is because we sing that song about 70 times on an average night, ok maybe its just like 12. But! 12 is still a lot!
So..I have a new love! Jon and Kate Plus 8!! It is probably the best show on earth. If you haven't seen this show, I suggest watching it. (Plug) It comes on TLC every Monday night. They usually do a marathon every Monday. It is so addicting. You watch it once and you will be completely hooked! (hooked, hocked, hoked..I can't spell).
A side point I just realized, I have more keys on my key chain than any one person should. I use TWO keys. And yet I have this unbelievable amount of keys. Did I kill a janitor in my sleep?
Father's Day is coming up in what, 5 days? I have still not managed to go out and get a present. I'm such a slacker this year. I'm thinking about a grill cover, but if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

BTW...Tim's ex is engaged, she is like two years younger than me?!?! is it my turn yet? haha Just kidding..but seriously...

Easter Clean Up

So, Easter was interesting as usual. My mom, cleaned our entire house, to the point that it looked like no one lived in it. (They know we live in the house, but my mom wants the rest of the family to think we dont). We had a lot of fun though. The whole family only gets together about 4 times a year, give or take few.
Tim's nephew is about to be three and is absolutley obssessed with the movie Cars. And after watching it for the 25th time with him today, i have decided that I absolutley LOVE that movie! its so funny, and i know im 20 years old, but i just think that is the best movie! I wish they would od a Cars 2 or something!
Tomorrow I have to start setting up for the science fair, and i have to go to my advisement. Im not thrilled, I dont get to sleep late, and i have to stay late for class.
SO i found an old CD, its a band called Nickel Creek, and it is amazing. I love the song, When In Rome. Yuo really have to listen to the lyrics, its deep :) Im pretty sure they are a christian band, but im not positive on that. They are really good and everyone should check them out.

Easter Eggs

Happy St. Patricks Day!!

Tonight me and Tim had to dye Easter eggs for my mom. We are having a big Easter dinner on Saturday night and she wanted some real eggs for centerpiece decorations. I think I only broke 4 eggs! But I did get creative...thanks to the new Greer Now Magazine, I was able to get a couple of ideas (poka dots, tying the eggs with ribbon, etc.). I think they turned out pretty good!

Early today I watched an absolutley amazing movie that just recently came out on DVD, Amazing Grace. For those of you who have not seen this movie or do not know the story, it is an absolutely fantastic movie. I definitly think that everyone should watch this movie and learn about the man who was able to stop the slave trade in England.

We got our Fall 2008 class lists today!! Here is a rundown of what I will be taking (hopefully, if they dont all fill up, which I doubt they will).

Geology 201, American and European Women in early moderate, Colonial America, Animals and Society, and Logic. Im pretty excited about this coming semester, I think I am really going to enjoy these classes. But first I have to make it through my summer school class. Which is hopefully going to be an online American Governement class, that way I don't have to drive to Spartanburg every day. It's basically year round school for me for the next year or so! But, the sooner I can get done, the Better!

My first post/today's adventures

So this is my first blog! Yay! I have several things that I feel like I need to say. The first is that I had an awesome time at church this morning. Our Praise Beand did an all music service and it was absolutely amazing! I really hope they get a chance to do it again, although Im sure its hard on them. Tim and my best friend Cameron came to church with us today, then we all went out to lunch with the rest of the family.
I am on my second week of WeightWatchers, and I have already lost over a pound! Im pretty pumped about that!
Unfortuantly Spring Break is over :( but there is only 6 more weeks left of school, then it's on to summer school. But hopefully I will get finished in two years and then I wont ever have to go back to school again!
Tim's birthday is coming up in two weeks and I still have no idea what to get him (mainly beacause I am on a limited budget untill i start work again).
Thats pretty much been my whole day..Now im off to write an American Studies Paper!
